We are open to your inspiration. Our design service including virtual modelling and prototyping - welcomes the designer, specifier or client to explore their ideas in lighting. Customers are invited to select from a range or start from a blank canvas.

Porcelain lighting features can impact upon an interior design in two fundamental ways. The glow of translucent light can add warmth to a dining experience or welcoming reception. The light emitted from translucent porcelain provides a warmth and softness to an interior which enhances the dining experience and naturally welcomes you into reception areas.
Additionally – porcelain as a sculptural medium can create wondrous shapes and forms which catch the eye and offers a dramatic focal point to a space.
Our classic chandelier styles are designed to be subtly playful. Like dappled light through a tree canopy, the contrast of light and dark areas offer a calming and comfortable ambience. With chandeliers like our Butterfly Ball, this contrast is accentuated to create a more exciting effect throwing dramatic shadows across the interior . The porcelain that we make at Boatswain Lighting gives a rich and flattering light designed to help conjure a truly positive experience.

Wall Lights
Many rooms including corridors and low ceiling spaces need wall lights to bathe the scene with a lustrous glow. Often it is the play of light and shade that entertains the eye and frames an interior.
The porcelain magic can be brought to all shapes and sizes of room thanks to our wall lights. They can stand on there own as a principle lighting source or in unison with a chandelier.

Boatswain Lighting offers a bespoke design and manufacturingservice producing unique lighting features for individual clients.
This service is utilised by professional architects, interior designers and private clients alike.
• Client requirement and ideas discussed
• A sample pack of porcelain tiles is supplied to suit the requirements of each individual client
• Initial design and electrical specifications agreed. Quotation provided along with basic drawings if required
• Further discussion may be necessary regarding design detail followed by a revised quotation
• Once confirmed a 60% payment is requested
• CAD drawings provided if required
• Bespoke lighting manufactured and delivered
• Full assembly instructions will be provided. Boatswain Lighting also offers an optional
assembly service. Quotations available on request.
• Final 40% payment due on completion
