Boatswain Lighting is an established translucent porcelain lighting design company with studios based in Wiltshire, England, where all our porcelain is hand made by our team of dedicated makers under the guidance of our chief designer, Jason Boatswain.
Jason and his team create classic and bespoke porcelain lighting features, which are steeped in the ancient traditions of porcelain art and sculpture; timeless in their appearance and beautifully at home in both classic and contemporary environments.
Porcelain's translucent light is ideal for many spaces within any interior to create an understated elegant piece or a dramatic work of art. Dining rooms and restaurants are given a candle light tone, ideal for creating a convivial atmosphere. Receptions and foyers project a warm welcome and grand ballrooms and meeting areas are enhanced with a calming golden glow.

About Jason
Jason studied ceramics at Central St Martins and has for many years pushed the boundaries in porcelain design, creating innovative and traditional masterpieces in porcelain lighting for palaces, stately homes, ballrooms, hotels and restaurants.
He personally works the design from conception to finished piece using his creative talent and experience with porcelain and design. His highly sought after and exclusive works reside in an impressive portfolio of timeless and collectable pieces.
